Cascadia Archives

I was approached by a client who I had previously done branding work for. This time he needed a logo for his label, Cascadia Archives. With this he is looking to press vinyl for artists from the pacific northwest who never got the initial chance to produce vinyls. I drew inspiration from the pacific northwest and punk rock to create this logo.

Concepting

I explored different combinations of the vinyl record and elements of the pacific northwest. The client wanted to make sure it was clear where this brand’s roots lie. These were the iterations that spoke most to the client’s vision which we distilled into the final product.

Mock-up of the brand in use. Our next steps will be to reproduce these artists’ CD albums into vinyls that visually match the CDs.
